This is a normal emergency radio if you don't try to use it as a normal radio. Pros: - Good build quality - Flash brightness is good. - Worthy reception. Cons: - Uses a standard 18650 battery BUT WITH BRAND terminals so you have to buy their battery! Very bad - radio stations cannot be saved. A major inconvenience when trying to use it like a regular radio. - The sound quality is just about acceptable. - Not very stable stand. I also tried the Sangean MMR-88 emergency radio. In comparison, this unit is much better built: - Takes a standard 18350 battery - Speaker quality is very good, much better than Midland. - Memory for 20 stations - More stable position. Never plan to use it except in an emergency. If you want to use it as a regular radio, there are better options. The lack of station memory and the mediocre quality of the speakers repel me very much.
