Very strong, well made base. The difference between this and flimsy can be said and felt immediately. Well assembled too. it's expensive, but you can find cheaper ones, especially if someone is willing to wait a long time for delivery from the country of origin.

Pros

These sockets have a 3-way interior rated for 3-way lights (low, medium and high) and are rated for 250 watts - 250 volts. They are also UL and CSA listed.
