Review on πŸ’™ TopeSel 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive 10-Pack - Bulk Memory Storage Thumb Stick in Light Blue by Brad Blake

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They are great, FORMAT before use to avoid problems

Very good rims! I used them to copy photos taken on the cruise for friends who came with us. Very fast, works great, no problems! I read all the reviews before purchasing so while commenting mine I thought I would comment on some of the 1 star ratings which make absolutely no sense to me. drive somehow. To have more space, format it before use. DO NOT get a virus from a freshly formatted drive. The reason for formatting is not to prevent a virus but to get the most space possible on the new drive and to ensure compatibility with your operating system, so this should become a habit for you when using flash drives. . Plug in the USB drive, locate the flash drive in explorer (yellow folder icon) - always make sure you have the correct drive before formatting - then right click on the drive and locate "Format". This process is FAST on most computers and eliminates all viruses. I can't figure out how a new drive can contain a virus, but if it does, it kills it and maximizes disk space for you. The default file format is Fat32. That's where USB comes in and what is used if you just have your system reformatted for you. That's the problem. Most Windows use the NTFS format for hard drives. The difference is that large files over 4GB will be corrupted. These drives are only 4GB, so it doesn't matter or you'll have to buy a larger drive to get started. You can google the difference between the formats, but the bottom line is that Fat32 is such an old format that it's best suited for sharing a drive with others. NTFS is better if you ONLY use it on Windows machines (not Apple, not Linux, not older systems). These discs are great, no complaints. The 1-star rating with "virus" allegations is incomprehensible to me. FORMATTING before using a new storage device should be the first thing you should do when setting up a new drive for the first time. Choosing the right file format should solve any problem you are having. I would definitely buy them again, I especially love the different colors available!
