Nearly perfect: edge and corner protection

I have a 3 year old who likes to slam doors, a child who is becoming more and more active, and a playroom with a door that won't close . t lock. Since we are renting and there is nothing I can do about the door, I bought it to prevent a disaster. I installed both finger guards just above the top hinge and now the door doesn't close more than halfway, leaving a large enough gap between the door and the frame that we don't have to worry about pinching little fingers. The only downside is that they come off when he tries to slam the door multiple times, but it only happened once because he doesn't have enough time to focus to keep trying. refrigerator and garbage.)
