What I liked: The product is strong enough to carry the heaviest bikes. It is very easy to install. The finish (varnish) is scratch, rain and impact resistant without chipping or rusting. Dislikes: I would rate the product's durability much higher if the hardware (washers) were actually useful. Step One: Throw away the useless. inch washers which they ship as a set. They bend easily and are useless. The washers will stretch the expanded metal and leave your bikes upside down on the freeway. Step Two: Find an inexpensive sheet of metal that is about an inch wide and 1/16 inch thick. Cut out at least 4.5" and drill a 7/16" diameter hole through the center of each piece (X8). Be sure to clean and paint to avoid rusting. Step Three: Now you have something that actually works with expanded metal! The manufacturer must fix this problem. These kits will cost about a dollar more to make and people will still buy the kits (just my opinion). Step 4: Get a bourbon for all that extra hard work making the rectangular pucks. Step 5: Install according to the manufacturer's recommended instructions. Additional Note: As you can see from the pictures, I made sure to place the outer rectangular washers under the rack frame to provide additional support. Most expanded metal camper racks are poorly welded so this really helps support the bikes when you hit potholes etc. I hope this review was helpful. brian
