I bought this for a 'second family member' who happened to be with an old Vizio TV (xvt3d424sv - released 2010/2011) and the remote got jerky is. As a commissioned technologist, I looked for suitable replacement models and encountered many complaints. This turned out to be the right item and definitely at the best price considering the outrageous prices many companies charge. (Seems like finding the correct model numbers for different TV models would be valuable information as some replacement parts have cost upwards of $40 or $50). Anyway, I ordered it, received it, put in some batteries and tried it out at home on my large newer Vizio M55-f0 - worked perfectly and didn't require any programming. Brought it to her and she said it worked great for her too. It feels about as durable as my new TV remote - mind you, Vizio's remotes don't feel very durable (which is why I ordered a case for them!) - but given the item's replacement price, it was hard not to give it a 5 to give stars for victory in plug and play mode.
