This air cleaner/cleaner assembly was a huge disappointment. Advertised as a flat bottom air cleaner which means the lower air cleaner plate comes out flat from the carburetor/air cleaner interface without having to drop or lift. This assembly actually raises the assembly 3/4 inch. A call to Moroso led to the claim that they don't know why it's called a flat bottom air cleaner because it actually 'raises' the air cleaner assembly a bit. The chrome plating is also not contemporary. was one of the leaders in air filter/cleaner technology and actually had one of the first "drop down" assemblies to solve under hood clearance problems. are accurate and have a subtle chrome finish.
