This is a beautifully designed product that does the job perfectly. The Apple Pencil is a great product, but Apple's way of telling users to charge it is, for lack of a better word, "pan". No way am I sticking a pencil straight into the end of my iPad, it seems like an easy way to break TWO expensive things. Also, the included jack-to-jack Lightning adapter is very easy to lose. The TechMatte stand fixes the pen's design flaws, at least for charging at home or in the office. Simply connect the stand to a powered USB port, insert the pen vertically into the stand, and you're done. It takes up very little space on your desk and provides a convenient place to store your pen cap while charging. Editorial "Ranting": Why didn't Apple just put a light socket in the tip of the pencil? Instead of building a stupid female-to-female adapter into the stylus, they could provide a short male-to-male cable to connect the stylus to the iPad. It looks like charging the pencil was an afterthought by the design team.
