Great for vibration or movement applications

Easy to attach, amazing tensile strength, perfect for anything that can vibrate, shift or stretch. It also adheres very well to application, another Sashco success.

This is the best seal

This is the best seal. Yes, it wears off quickly, but if you apply a small segment and smooth it out with a soaped finger before moving on to another short segment, the job is done properly and the result will look good and last a long time.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Functionality

This stuff works great. Too bad I didn't find it years ago. This is the first sealant I have used sealing around a large hot tub. You have to work fast when applying, and mistakes are a bit harder to fix than with other types of sealers.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Tubing Integrity: Sealant

I've been a long time fan of clear Lexel. Excellent sealing and excellent adhesion. I've bought 5 oz and 10 oz tubes with no problems. This white tube cracked at the bottom when I used it for my first little work. The sealed seam opened. I couldn't find any other way to solve the problem than through a review. This would have been a 5 star rating but the package failed.

This really is the best sealant ever!

I have been using this product for many years. It's become difficult to get locally, so I'm very happy to find it here. It takes a little longer to install smoothly, but as long as the surface is properly prepared, you'll probably never have to scrape it down and do it all over again. I use it in showers, bathrooms and other places that you don't want to repeat in five years. That's great!

The most effective sealant in a handy tube.

In the past my favorite sealant has been GE paintable silicone, sometimes referred to as XST. Recently I've started noticing yellowing and other issues that I hadn't noticed before. With my recent purchases I decided to try something new. Studies have shown it to be the best sealant in the same range as XST. In terms of performance, it doesn't disappoint. That thing sticks to everything! The only downside is that it's a bit messy when working with tools. If you're looking for a more…

The thing works!

I am disappointed with silicone sealants; They are flexible and mold resistant and have been advertised for 50 years! The weather strip itself can last that long, but in my experience it doesn't stay glued to the base for much more than a year. I have experience using the clear version of Lexel synthetic rubber for exterior and automotive applications and have found it to be much more likely to outlast both silicone and acrylic sealants. Then I tried the white version of the product and was…

I can't believe I'm reviewing

Really amazing sealant. I'm so glad it was recommended for another product in a Revain review. Yes, the thing is really thick and it takes a lot of force to get it out of the tube. (Try using it in a caulk with a caulking gun if your project allows.) BUT it has to be the best sealant: It's easy to smooth and work with, it cures nicely and stays in place. To my great regret, I first tried one of the regular joint compounds from a big hardware store and it was awful: the joint compound came out…
