I am disappointed with silicone sealants; They are flexible and mold resistant and have been advertised for 50 years! The weather strip itself can last that long, but in my experience it doesn't stay glued to the base for much more than a year. I have experience using the clear version of Lexel synthetic rubber for exterior and automotive applications and have found it to be much more likely to outlast both silicone and acrylic sealants. Then I tried the white version of the product and was very happy with the performance. I replaced the tub liner in our master tub over two years ago and sealed it with white Lexel. It is still in good condition, mold free and sticks to both the cabinet and the china tub.
