This is basically what I expected. I'm a mountain biker, my wife and kids just love riding rails around town and we also take the bikes to the beach so I wanted pedals for easy riding and clips for mountain biking. . The pedals were very easy to install, as were the spikes in the boots (although I had to buy a $12 tool at my local bike shop). The only inevitable downside is that it can be tricky to snap into place on the go, as the pedals obviously need to be properly aligned. It might get easier over time as I ride them more, but once buckled in they hold up well and walk well. There are no complaints about the general nature of the product!
