Review on Taconic Shaves Shaving Beechwood Included by Devin Pishey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No laggards best in shaving accessories

My first brush was a boar hair Proraso. I liked the stiffness and the long hair. I intend to buy another one when the first one wears out. While putting it in my shopping cart, I changed course and decided to try a synthetic brush and a badger hair brush. Synthetic was too soft, uncomfortable, but nice touch for a hair salon. This brush was a brush I didn't know what I was missing. I've owned it for almost 3 months and it's amazing in performance and looks. I tried 1 time to reuse the boar hair, it didn't get on my face. This badger brush is an effortless lather maker and not a single wasted hair is left in the sink. I like to apply a dab of cream to half of the hair and dampen the brush with hot water, lather my face for a luxurious 3-pass shave using a Muhle r41 grande razor and feathered blade.

Pros
  • Beech wood handle is PU coated for strength and durability
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
