If you're wanting to introduce your child to jigsaw puzzles, then this is it, you found the perfect product. I'm a Galison/Mudpuppy fan, so I expected these to be good, but I wasn't prepared for just how GOOD these would be. My toddler was just starting to grasp the concept of putting pieces together, but she didn't understand the idea of looking at the picture and trying to see what pieces should go next to each other. This set was so perfect for that. There's so much intention in the layout of the image with the puzzle cut. One eye on one piece, the other eye on another one. A puddle or zebra that goes across two pieces. My toddler really started to understand. "Hey, here's the penguin's head - what goes below his head? .His body, right! Let's look for a piece with his body on it!" The progression of 4pc, 6pc, 9pc, and then 12pc is really perfect too. They get more challenging, but still understandable. This is a really thoughtfully designed product and I'm so happy we got it.
