I bought this before Proraso's red aftershave was easier to find and came closest to her sandalwood scent, albeit more woody-earthy. Since it was good for a new beard, I figured clean-shaven skin wouldn't hurt either, and I was right. You don't need much, but it smells great and lasts with just a small amount. So also as an aftershave balm 5 stars. Because of the smell and texture, I ran it through my hair this morning rather than my usual goo to see if it would tame my post-shower frizz. Works like a charm - just the right amount of hold without a crunchy or oily/greasy texture. Everyone's hair is different, but when your hair looks good (like it is, work with me here guys) and you don't have competing scents on your head, that's a small win in life. The smell is too strong, and with all personal products and body chemicals, your mileage will always vary, but professional advice for any Proraso product is that less is more.
