I love these brushes! Large round ones are great for applying chalk paint as they hold a lot of paint. I prefer the lower-angle Wooster brushes because detail, angles, and feathering are easier, and the softer bristles are better at avoiding brushstrokes. So for paint, big circles of natural bristles are great for the base coat, at least for me. They (all) have become my favorite way to apply different waxes. I find applying wax with a brush easier, less messy and generally less uncomfortable. It was wonderful! The big circles help me mix the waxes together. They are not that easy to clean: lacquer-based, oil-based or water-based waxes. I have to be patient when brushing them through as they are thick and dry out rough after a few uses. I soak them in some fabric softener and water and they are like new. These brushes are AMAZING value for money. Most other brushes cost the same as this set for one. Love love love these! Highly recommended for anyone who paints with chalk and/or uses finishing wax. UPDATE: Clean up. I have since found Murphy's oil soap for natural bristle brushes. Cleans them perfectly and makes them soft.
