Tropical Storm Eta recently hit South Florida. When Eta landed at the Keys, it was more like a hurricane. The pouring rain was so heavy that the water completely filled the guides in our impact resistant sliding glass doors and couldn't run back. Water simply rushed into the house on the ground, causing flooding. Although we used the wet vacuum to suck up most of the water, too much wind and rain banged against the doors to stop the flow. Then I remembered I bought these Pig absorbent socks to replace another brand that wasn't effective. We put 4 foot pig socks in the rails of 4 sliding glass doors just over the water. They fit perfectly and literally prevented water from entering the house. I was so thankful I screamed with joy! We left Pig's socks in the tracks overnight and the next morning they were wet but not soaked. Now they are dry and ready to use again. It's amazing how well they worked in sliding glass door tracks. I immediately bought 8 more Pig Socks and also told my neighbor who had the same problem during a storm. Many Thanks.
