The Black Diamond Speed Zip 24 Backpack is a lightweight backpack suitable for a two or one day trip suitable. It's also good for carrying gear; such as a climbing rope, two ice axes/poles, a helmet, crampons and other gear with straps for attachment. It also has room for a water bladder if you're willing to carry it around. So far I've only used it for hiking and climbing. and i am very satisfied. Haven't tried carrying my skis on it yet. I recommend it for its size, weight, and ability to carry attached items.
