I think the seller didn't get on board with these crimping pliers. On one side of the jaws you will find a profile for typical crimp connectors. On the other side you will find a connection profile with shrink tubing. If you find the hose ruptures, pinch it on the other side. If you find that the crimp is not holding, move the fitting to the other side of the jaws. No doubt they are very heavy. If I worked in a job that required them every day, I would buy lighter ones. For my occasional needs based on price and features they work well. 5 stars in my book. Update: I see that this list now shows the dual profile in more detail.
