I was looking at the reviews of these bits and what made me buy it was someone mentioned that they drilled a railroad anvil with these bits with no problems and the pictures came with them. I was quite skeptical about buying them, not many positive reviews but sort of a descent review. I had a leak in the exhaust pipe on my truck (Ford F150 4.6L 1997) just under my driver's seat and it was quite noisy. The break was not part of the exhaust pipe but a flange coming straight from the engine (driver side manifold about 30cm from the actual engine) which usually had 2 supports coming from where the pipe was pinched. on, one was missing, the other was hard. So when I was driving it and hitting bumps, it would occasionally open up and get noisy. The store said they wanted to replace the header (a lot of work, possibly worth several days if the bars break). I decided to buy these bits, just drill a hole in the flange and put the screw in this mofo. Worked like a charm, as quiet as possible. I haven't even drilled a pilot well. The drill bit that matched my screw cut through almost 1 inch of steel flange with no problem. My advice though (I used Jane's Plain Drill, black and embellished from Walmart which costs next to nothing) wear long sleeves and goggles. The shavings get on your hands etc. and stay there for several days. Otherwise great exercise. It killed what I wanted and I only used one of the many parts. This one time purchase was well worth the repair compared to the store cost. Photo added by
