In January I bought a new refrigerator, it's time to replace the filter. I've learned in the past that OEM replacement parts are always more expensive than $$$. It's basically a plastic cartridge with carbon filter media, so why pay more?! The most important thing for me is whether it fits perfectly, it fits. It would work, no. Water tastes good, yes. It's a win, a win because it works just as well as the OEM, but I was able to buy 3 of these for half the cost of an OEM. A word of advice I kept the OEM filter which I took out in case I needed a service call, I will put it back in if it would void the warranty. But we all know the deal, OEM is good but the price is meant to generate income
