The lid latches are tight and as some others have said if you want to remove the case good luck it tucks securely into the holder. I figured this out by sliding the corner with the power button and then doing the same with the other corner of the same side so you can fold it back along the edge between the volume buttons and the second corner you pop out. It takes work and it looks like you can break your tablet before it tears off. To solve this problem I took an emery board and put the inside edge around the edges. Still holds securely but now I can take it off without feeling like you're breaking my tablet.
