Review on APC PE6WU2 Wall Outlet Plug Extender: Surge Protector with USB Ports - 6 AC Multi Plug Outlet, 540 Joule Surge Protection by Jeffery Pricinoc

Not bad. It is what it is.

Feels like a quality product. Not too tight and not too loose when plugging into 3 pin sockets. The USB charging part was very tight and didn't appear to be properly aligned during production. I was still able to use the ports, but it was difficult to connect USB cables to them at first. I like the center screw to attach the cover to the outlet (our apartment has loose end caps so things can be easily detached). There's nothing worse than buying the ones that don't have it and they keep turning off during use. Compared to other products, this one sits well on the wall and doesn't protrude as much as some of the others (not by much, but a bit thinner). I've had power surges or blackouts so I can't comment on its performance as a surge protector. The green light with GFI protection on the top is very bright and brightens up the room a bit. Cool if you want a night light in the room, otherwise it's too bright. Generally a good product.

Pros
  • Power filter
Cons
  • No power
