I've been using a standard 25ft HDMI 2.1 cable for years and haven't had any problems. I recently switched from cable to streaming via Roku. Everything worked, but the video signal went in and out frequently. By that I mean the screen went black for a second or two and then came back and my TV's OSD told me that Dolby Vision had restarted. Anyway, I suspected from other research that this might be due to the rather long cables running through the walls. I heard fiber should be an improvement for that length or more. Fast forward and I have no more signal loss. Unfortunately, I can no longer use the ARC channel, which works for me as I've only used it to stream apps to smart TVs, which is now handled by Roku anyway. In short, it solved my problem and I am very satisfied with the product.
