The main wire is intact, the thin wires going to the cups are intact, the connector is intact, the cups and speakers are intact. Nothing changed or repaired for 25 years! Even the ear pads are "native". Although the film peeled off from them and only foam rubber remained, it does not crumble at all and, by feeling, is more pleasant than a plastic film, from which it was hot to the ears. If I don’t understand something in my next freshly bought headphones, then I put on the Sony MDR-7506 and everything becomes clear. If someone likes to have "meaty bass" or "ringing highs", then these headphones are not designed for that. Here - ideal linearity, without any "protrusion" in certain positions of the spectrum.
