Haven't installed it in the house yet as I've heard you must "burn" the first smell when you receive it. It's just an on and off device and heats up to 200 degrees on the surface. It also heats up on the back, which over time can damage your wall and potentially start a fire. This device is NOT UL listed but is ETL stamped. I'm still careful and will install a piece of corrugated iron behind the plate. The corner holes did not get very hot as seen on the thermal imager but have burrs that require cleaning. Overall it looks like a good device, but it could use some serious touches.
