My wife has started to watch her weight. And part of that is trying to measure your food (to see how many points are being spent). We had a small kitchen scale but my wife was annoyed that they didn't have all the measurements, they were only an ounce. My wife wanted a kitchen scale with more options. Not to mention that he was slightly taller. A big plus for me is that the Marso brand is pretty good. I have their meat thermometer and it works pretty well. So when I saw it was Marceau I was even more confident to buy it. Marso scales operate on (2) AAA batteries. The old one had such a "quarter" that it was hard to make sure it was right #. The last one, the Marso kitchen scale, has an off button (just hold it down), the bad thing is that it was very delicate, a small dent, the battery died quickly. I am happy with this food scale and more importantly my wife is happy. :)
