Overall I'm not disappointed with this product but I plan to buy a better keyboard in the future. The RGB backlit numeric keypad is nice and bright even during the day. Connecting to my computer was easy. The instructions provided are very basic) aside from downloading the software. The red switches I chose serve the purpose I was most interested in, not being very noisy. The mouse is overall comfortable, perhaps the best part of the kit personally. Just a little heavy. Cons: This is actually my second Havit keyboard, the first one came with a broken arrow key. The buttons are too sensitive and one touch can result in an accidental press. The keycap font looks lousy. 0 and O have weird notches, the @, #, and & keys look awful. Strange situations where my keyboard won't turn on when I start my computer but my mouse turns on. The cap remover isn't great, but you get what you pay for. The RGB software is terrible and hard to find. This company has serious quality control issues. Lots of inconsistencies on the website regarding keyboard and mouse models, I thought I was selling a fake at first. Overall: This is a great way to learn about mechanical keyboards if you're not crazy about the things that enthusiasts love (customization and such). If you're buying this for someone who's young and wants it to play with, they might go for the brown switches first, but overall I'm not mad I bought it. I'm actually more impressed than anything else. Also, I just want to reiterate the excellent layout. I'm planning on upgrading in the next few months but this helped me figure out what I really want from a mechanical keyboard and it will serve as a great backup for the near future. PS I really like the mouse pad.
