Creative lighting in Lighting & Ceiling Fans

This set of modular LED lights is a lot of fun. You can customize it in many ways, choose individual colors, set it to cycle or blink. This is a lighting kit that gives you many options. You can also control the brightness level and it can be surprisingly bright, more than just decorative lighting. My only problem is the cable. I'm surprised it's not rechargeable. LED lights use very little energy and I have no doubt that even with a small battery the charge will last a long time. Unfortunately it isn't. It comes with a USB cable and needs to be plugged into a wall outlet (not included). This prevents me from using it where I need it or where there is room for it. I got it because we really need light in many places, in hallways that we can't light until the end of the hallway, in rooms that we have to cross in the dark to turn on the lamp. {Our house was very poorly designed in terms of lighting and I really don't want to run new wiring. It seemed like a great solution for certain areas, but it can only be used where an outlet is available, drastically limiting its flexibility and usefulness. I thought about using a battery pack but we have a battery pack on the wall :p I got this because there are half a dozen places we could really use some light and I love that it's on the needs can be adjusted, but. hangs directly above the outlet. Also hanging with double tape is easy but destructive. Move it and you should draw. Actually more trouble than it's worth. The instructions say it can be hung by a screw or nail, they are not included either. This is terribly expensive for a new light, so it really should come with everything you need, be it tapestry or tape. While I like the concept and the lighting and remote work well, the fact that it has to be plugged in reduces its usefulness and also makes it less attractive (if you have a cord running up the wall).
