Awesome TV

This TV lives up to the Sony name. This is the first Sony TV I've bought, although I had Sony short wave radios and still use an old Sony DVD recorder with an ATSC tuner. I've always thought of Sony as the leader in receivers. This TV has a great picture and sound for a flat screen. I had to adjust the sound and picture settings. Especially the sound settings to get the best performance, the factory settings didn't really give a very good sound. I was also able to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my TV. I first bought this for the next gen tuner, although I haven't been able to test it yet, but I'm sure I will. I mainly watch OTA (TV on the air) and live in a peripheral area for TV reception, so this interests me more as a receiver. I've been watching OTA for 12+ years with the Roku box added. The receiver works just as well and slightly better than other TVs I use with the same antenna system. It has a signal diagnostics function in the help menu that shows the signal strength and all important signal-to-noise ratios. You can also use it to add digital channels, so you can rotate your dish and add channels without having to do a full channel scan. Features I love about Google TV. Sony allows you to install a fully functional web browser. Google TV also lets you add channels from Pluto and Xumo (and actually choose which channels you want to add) to your TV tuner app, allowing you to watch streaming channels with your over-the-air channels. So far I can't say anything negative. I would recommend this TV to my friends.
