Great looking hood. It has a huge squirrel cage fan that moves a lot of air over the stove. So if you have a dirty stove or a stove with smoke, this thing will get the job done. One minus - not a silent fan. The easy-to-remove steel filter plate produces a whistle that can be distracting but is particularly annoying when the fan is running at full speed. The baffles are very easy to remove and it would be a good idea to remove a baffle if you run the fan for a long time, the noise will be cut in half with a filter. You can hear it in the video.
