Putting your phone where you normally look is a great idea, not down and away from the windshield. The magnets are strong and hold the phone in place with the included magnetic plates attached to the back of the phone. The only issues are: 1) As most people have said that if your rear view mirror is curved in any way it doesn't clamp fully and is more annoying 2) the bracket that holds the frame front and back (instead of top and below ). ) The mirrors are just a piece of plastic that slides back and forth easily. That means every time you angle the phone or remove the phone from the cradle, this plastic shifts and the cradle comes loose again. This way you always adjust and tighten the orthosis. Makes using this holder quite inconvenient. The only thing I would have liked was a lock to keep all the adjustable parts in place.
