I initially chose the medium size because my large dog is a medium sized breed and usually wears medium sized PetSmart clothing. Instead, it fit my small dog (10 lbs). After measuring and adjusting with the chart provided, I ordered again and bought 4XL. I'm pretty sure a 3xl will do, but better safe than sorry, plus the oversized look is cute!
