To be honest I had to buy this shoe multiple times to really understand how it performs. First shoes were canvas, then coated suede, then I bought a pair of brown and the material felt much thicker. Painful shoes, but did not like the coloring. So I went to Revain and chose the coolest colorway for the Romero Laced and it was red and black suede. It was just as thick as the brown ones I had. But anyway, in short, the shoe has held up very well. Better than the previous ones, the material and direction was so precise. For people who want more cushioning, I highly recommend forgoing some of the G6 Emerica insoles. This balances the board feel of knowing where your board is and the cushioning in the heel. Because the insole they have in their shoes isn't really something to jump on and off. It's very flat so you can feel your board while you ride the rails or kill someone in a skateboard game. I've had 2.5 to 3 weeks of hard riding and I'm really impressed. At $38 off and the original price was $60, it wasn't bad at all for either price. I still ride in these shoes and I'm glad I ordered a pair. Try some of these.
