Quality construction and thoughtful dog protection design

This is my third seat cover of this type. It is immediately clear that Franklin has the highest quality of the three. It's very well made, with details to suggest it was made to withstand some abuse and one last time. It consists of several layers of fabric. Parts of the fabric of the seat and backrest are additionally reinforced with diamond stitching, which is often seen on quilts. A thick border outlines the contour and is sewn on with tight stitches. I started by resetting the part that sits on the seat. It's thick with an added layer of dense, durable, cloth-like mesh. The flaps at each end were then folded down to protect the sides of the seats from dog accidents. Thick round tubes like plastic anchors are located on each of the two loop straps, which are inserted deep into the area between the seat and the backrest. They hold the tread seat in place very securely. The outer parts, the quilted part that protects the back of the seat and the smooth part that faces forward, are attached with adjustable straps. Each strap attaches to each other and tightens around the rear or front headrest. The front, center and back form a hammock that keeps pets off the floor while protecting the seats and carpet. What I particularly like is that the protector has slots along the edge that attach between the seat and backrest. They close with velcro to prevent spills but open up for those of us who strap our pets in so they don't fly in the event of an accident. Obviously this was designed with input from dog lovers. All in all, I would recommend Franklin's Pet Car Seat Protector Hammock for its quality construction and thoughtful design.
