I just wanted the lid to be perfect just to keep things off the keyboard, but not only does it fit perfectly, it makes keystrokes a lot quieter! I would say it reduced the clicking noise by 80%! Did it affect typing? Well, I've only been typing on this for a few hours, but I've only noticed my finger getting caught on the edges of the keys a bit. Little problem. Not big enough to affect my rating. Such a great investment. I also like the minimal packaging.
