Very soft. I washed in cold water and air dried to preserve the softness. The only thing I don't like is the fabric on the front pocket. I wish it was fleece too, but it's smooth polyester. Not sure why as it doesn't add to the look. Overall love it. I increased the size so the sleeves went below the wrists. It's easy to roll up the sleeve a fold when I don't need the extra length. I wear it almost every day at work from home.
