This ground wire is very thick compared to the original ground wire in my engine (see picture). Definitely an upgrade, not just a replacement. I was unable to remove the original ground wire on my 2008 Yukon XL Denali because the 15mm bolt on the back of the cylinder block is very difficult to access. I left this cable and installed this cable next to it. There was a tapped hole near where the installation started. I hammered the end of the new ground wire flat and then seated it perfectly next to the original. I attached the cable to the cylinder block with a 3/8-16 x 1/2 in. Class 8 hex head screw (P/N 003800BP from O'Reilly). I installed this cable because my Yukon had two electrical problems. One of them was a problem. Start (cranked but not started) and the other - turn signal noise was sometimes quiet. It's been a few months and I haven't had any problems. In addition to this ground, I replaced all the wires connected to the battery. (minus, plus, starter and alternator). The cables aren't very expensive, but it takes all weekend to install. After installing these cables you will most likely need to reset the HVAC drive.
