Bought these to replace my favorite pair of Thinsulate mittens which were beyond repair after a year of hard gaming. They work, but it's not the same pair we had before. Although they have a velcro strap that opens the mitten to slip it over timid, clumsy little hands, they don't open fully like the previous pair. It's frustrating for a kid who is working hard to be independent and struggling to get their hand in a mitten, and frustrating for parents because you know there are (were) mittens out there that are made for you easy to open seat fully!
