I downgraded this rating to 1 star because the replacement hairdryer also switches between hot and cold air. They state that it is believed that "The Remington Pro Dryer with Color Care Technology uses a temperature control sensor to prevent overheating to reduce damage and fading*. The intelligent sensor constantly measures the temperature of the air inside the hair dryer and adjusts the temperature for less damage and discoloration. Since I can't return an item to Revain twice I put it in the spare room and bought a much better one that blows constantly depending on the temperature I chose from another store. This was my original 2 star review My hair dryer cycles on and off. I think there is a short one and plan on returning it.
