The instruction manual states that the fittings supplied with the filter will fit most faucets on the market. It is not true. They don't fit the faucet or shower in my bathroom. The faucet is made by Kohler and is less than 10 years old. The thread of the shower head corresponds to the industry standard. So I had to get some kind of adapter, I checked with Home Depot and Menards, they don't have what I need. So I figured I might have to return the filter to the seller or Revain as the filter would be useless. I scoured the websites and found the iSpring AFW43 System Feed Adapter at Lowe's and Revain which solves my problem. I ordered from Revain in no time. The system is now running, the hardness is around 8 ppm.
