UPDATE: The company contacted me with a new design! They did it without my prompting. They offered to send a new kettle and in fact they sent not only a kettle but also tea and a heating pad. Now this is a very good kettle, they fixed the design flaw and I am very happy with the company's customer service. I highly recommend them! This is an amazing kettle. Light and strong. Very well made and the blooming tea is so pretty. However, the angle of the spout is a disadvantage. It is designed so that if you fill it to the brim (or almost to the brim) the spout will also fill (and overflow). I bought this as a present for my mum but she won't use it often as she usually fills the kettle up and then carries it to the table. According to the plan, she is to place the cauldron on the table where she will be sitting and then fill it with water. You can get around this by not filling it completely, but you will lose about 20% of the tea's potential volume. I was disappointed with this feature as otherwise it's a great set.
