I bought XT2 because of the larger size. Really faster than my "regular" kettle heats the same amount of water; about 30% faster, they said. It seems to take longer to heat up, but I didn't measure it. The handle is cool to the touch, but you may need to keep it upright while heating as shown in the product image. Tough and durable enough for any camping use, yet compact and lightweight. As with most camp stoves of this size, tipping a full kettle very steeply and quickly can tip the spout and cause a spill. Common sense, just go and you eliminate all risk. Customer service is outstanding. There was a really small problem with what I received; Received a prompt reply email with a full replacement and followed up to make sure I'm happy. I will definitely be adding Fire-Maple to my items.
