Review on 🐶 Hurtta Summit Parka Dog Winter Coat: The Ultimate Winter Wear for Your Canine Companion by Anna Crane

I bought a pair of Hurtta jackets and this one like the others is very high quality. It took me a few tries to find the right size - thanks to Revane for letting me return! - but this one fits exactly how I wanted it. This is a solid 45 pound dog with a 28 inch chest and 20 1/2 inch back. I started with a size 20 but it just didn't give me the coverage I needed for our cold Maine climate. It fits well but I wanted it to go down her legs a little more. She has quite a long back compared to her short legs so this is perfect. We have my favorite Hurrta Extreme coat in a size 20 and it's great when it gets brutal in here. So thinking the sizes would be the same I decided on 20 and as I said I decided to go up in size. I gave it 5 stars for its water resistance, although we didn't get a chance to try it, but I'm pretty sure that's all Hurtta says. I will update if not. Haven't tried the rubber bands around their hind legs yet as they hold up pretty well without them. I love all customizations. Pros: Very warm but not heavy or too bulky. Not stiff and seems easy to walk on. It doesn't interfere with the movement of her front leg at all! She goes crazy walking in the snow =) Lots of adjustments for a custom fit Harness opening - a must for dogs using a harness Easy to pull over head, place chest piece between legs and buckle up Cons: Quite expensive but will hopefully last as long as most Hurtta coats. The color is really strong! It would be nice if they offered this coat with more color options. Hurrta makes quality products and as my little girl is less than 2 years old I expect this coat will get a lot of wear so its worth the cost. I highly recommend it!
