Review on ๐Ÿถ Kurgo Direct to Seat Belt Tether for Dogs - Universal Car Seat Belt for Pets with Adjustable Length - Quick & Easy Installation for Enhanced Dog Safety by Tricia Smith

Seat belt is fine

We made our own version of this by threading a carabiner or rope through the base of the seat belt (in my car it's a very small seat belt loop , which secures the plastic receiver and I was able to use that loop as an anchor) and then tie a carabiner to the other end of the rope. I'm visiting my grandma but I just don't think my hyperactive dog can ride this in the car. He doesn't sit patiently by the window like the dog in the pictures - he's constantly jumping up, down, around, whimpering, looking out the window, etc. The carabiner can dig into his back in certain positions (although this is also a problem with our homemade one). version), and the ribbon loses length very quickly when twisted (unlike the round cable in our homemade version, which can twist like a phone cord and is still long enough). I don't know what the advantage of a carabiner is over a more traditional line clasp that twists to keep the webbing from twisting so much. Maybe the carabiner will withstand a crash or something better? Perhaps some of you have dogs that can stray off a traditional leash? I think there has to be a better solution than a carabiner here; It's more of a fashion choice for street hipster dog lovers than a feature designed for optimal dog protection. I think a company that normally makes great dog products could do way better than me with some spare parts I dug up in my garage.
