Review on 🐝 Daddy Van's Unscented Beeswax Furniture Polish: Non-Toxic, Odorless Wood Wax for Nourishing Furniture, Antiques, Cabinets, and Butcher Block by Scott Richardson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looking for something antique furniture might be familiar with. And that's exactly what was needed!

I chose this because I have very old furniture that needed to be cleaned (not cleaned) and then treated a bit. I wanted to use a product that might have been available when the furniture was made, that would be compatible with everything else that was used on it, and that wouldn't leave chemical or wax deposits on the items. (No collateral). It was wonderful! After many rubs with soap and oil, the wood needed some smoothing. I smeared it more liberally than intended (though not to the extent that it "oiled" the wood) and let it soak for 24 hours, then proceeded to polish. Almost nothing happened. So reapplied (less smudging since the second time), waited a day and polished: really nice warm light on the wood, not sticky at all and just perfect! The original "finish" was a little more casual and less sophisticated - even that looked great when I did it! weird but i like it. I bought the buffing pads shown in the sidebar - I use old t-shirts or socks to apply the polish - they are very easy and do the job well. furniture fingers.
