Lack of factory quality control, low wear resistance.
Bought my first tool 8 years ago, spent most of the time in a box of about 500 nails. Wanted to use it on a small job just to lubricate it, try it out and make sure it works on the big job ahead. About 2 hangers in the FAILED block. The HAMMER will only stay retracted when the air is shut off. Order a new unit as the nearest available repair is 90 miles away. The new device arrived two days earlier than expected, great news right? Not so FAST, the new device was disassembled when it arrived, oh it looked good until I took it out of the box and the protective case fell off the end of the device. Replacement block is on the way. I am not impressed with the durability, quality control or service of Bostich products.
