Review on Sylvania Portable Rechargeable Battery Adapter by Jason Flores

I think this is probably the best portable DVD player I have today. I bought it in anticipation of my long trip from Florida to New York and back to Florida. I love that it's not only a DVD player but also a USB compatible SD card reader. In preparation for the trip I downloaded a number of children's films onto the SD card (in addition to the DVDs we have). I downloaded 12 movies to the SD card but the player only reads 7 of the 12 movies. It looks like he doesn't read .mkv movies since the 5 movies he doesn't read are all .mkv movies. In the car I used the included headrest and speaker so my 5 year old daughter could watch her favorite movie and my 7 year old son his movie on our tablet. I like it because we can use it anywhere. It was a great source of entertainment for the kids just hanging out with my mom. Note. If you bought a car headrest mount: You can't control anything (volume, play, pause, stop, change DVD) manually. You have to use the remote and even then the remote sensor is on the top of the unit. My kids are too young to use the remote control so I had to do it from the driver's seat. You must remove the player from the bracket to replace the DVD. My 7 year old is old enough to help me with this but when the kids are younger it requires more involvement and adult supervision. All in all great: DVD player, USB compatible, SD card reader. There is a power adapter, car charger, remote control and headphones.
