About a year ago I installed a cheap water pump and it failed. The expensive version is worth the surcharge compared to the cheap devices. Luckily, the water pump on a 2005 Malibu is easy to install, so I tried a cheap unit to see if price really matters. The answer, as I've learned, is that price matters. This water pump is excellent.
