This toaster is great, which is why I bought it, but the cord gets so excessively hot when you use it that it actually looks like a fire hazard. It was actually too hot to touch after using the toaster. I decided to buy another brand on Black Friday because I think it's too risky to leave this thing plugged in at home. If you still decide to buy it for aesthetic reasons, I recommend that you unplug it from the outlet when not in use. Also, it takes about twice as long as I would like to toast an English muffin.
