I had 4 baby rabbits in this one. They were boisterous and eventually broke the zipper, but that was perfect until they grew big enough to slip through the bars of the larger cage. It was so easy to wash. It was a lifesaver, in addition to the babies inside, his mother trampled him when he was being fed, we checked. This will probably work well for a rabbit, or maybe several if they aren't too active, or for small animals like hamsters, etc. Note. The zip is easy to sew back in, we don't use it anymore at the moment so I wasn't worried.
